What a great first week of classes at Mermaid Physie!  So lovely to see the many new faces to join our wonderful club. Our Open Day was a fantastic afternoon, with over 50 new girls visiting to find out more about physie!  Big thanks to our performers for their energy and passion, demonstrating what Mermaid physie is all about! 

It is not too late to join us – you are welcome to start physie at any time throughout the year, however, February is always the best month as our routines start afresh.  Check out our class times and join in the fun at Mermaid physie.

Mermaid physie’s very own Ella-Grace Kerr has been selected to perform on the 2012 BJP Physical Culture Syllabus DVD!  Ella-Grace has been awarded the title of Australian Champion for the past two years in a row, and now has the honour of demonstrating her physie on the instructional DVD.

The whole Mermaid family are thrilled to see one of our own on the DVD, as we were when Mia Taylor performed three years ago.  Ella-Grace, her mum and Miss Alison fly to Sydney in April for filming at the ABC Television Studios in Sydney. 

Good luck, have fun and congrats Ella-Grace… we are all very proud of you.

Grab a friend and come along to physie in 2012!  New members are always welcome, and the beginning of the year is the best time to join in as routines start afresh.

We are having an open day on Wednesday 1 February from 3.30pm at Miami Primary Hall and would love you to come along!  One lucky attendee will even win a free term of tuition. Classes for 2012 commence on Monday 6 February.  We are looking forward to another fantastic year at Mermaid Physie!

Thanks to everyone who attended the Mermaid christmas party and presentation day.  What a fantastic end to a brilliant year of physie!  Two individual national champions, two national champion teams, two state champion teams, 40 of our girls competing in the prestigious National Championship Team Events in Sydney, and of course lots of new friends, fitness and dance!

We are thrilled our junior teams have been given the opportunity to compete in ‘National Championship Grade’ in Sydney this year.  Only the top 13 clubs in Australia are chosen – what a great honour!  It is wonderful to see the girls enthusiasm and excitement!

Thank you to the local community for your support in raising funds to assist with travel expenses, the response has been overwhelming!
