2011 NATIONAL TITLES

Congratulations to all the girls and ladies who participated in 2011 competitions. Seeing you out there doing your personal best, having fun, and representing the club beautifully is reward in itself.  The club again achieved amazing results at the Nationals, held at the State Sports Centre in Homebush, Sydney, and the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House.  We are the proud home to not one, but two individual national champions for 2011!!!

• 3rd place – Rebecca Willis – 14 years, Catherine Scott – ladies under 33 years

2011 STATE TITLES

The club had a record number of state finalists again this year, with 37 competitors making the top 15 in their section in Queensland. Special mention to the placegetters:

• 1st place – Mia Taylor – 14 years, Erin Walton – 1st yr senior, Hayley Whitehouse – 2nd yr senior, Catherine Scott – ladies under 33 yrs
• 2nd place – Ella-Grace Kerr - 9 years, Courtney Keast – 1st yr senior, Jennifer Rees – ladies over 33 yrs, Leanne Atkinson – ladies over 43 yrs
• 3rd place -  Rebecca Willis – 13 years, Danny Holland – 2nd yr ladies
• 4th place - Carmela Mirto – 6 years,  Paris Hardy – 12 years, Shae Randell – 13 years, Elyse Gregory – 14 years, Fiona Howell – ladies over 43 yrs

Congratulations to our juniors that travelled to the repechage competition in Sydney.  Four placegetters join our state qualifiers – that’s 14 girls off to Sydney nationals!  Congratulations to:

2011 TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

We had the honour of being one of the 15 highest ranked clubs invited to the National Championship Team Event in Sydney.  40 of our girls took part and displayed not only beautiful physie, but had one of the best weekends ever!  The club spirit was astounding – thank you all for such a memorable weekend.  Two national champion teams!!! WOW!

Congratulations also to all the Mermaids that competed at this years Queensland teams event.  Teams are the best fun, with 8 girls all coming together to perform as a group. Well done everyone.
