Girls are OBSESSED with physie! A dance class fusing ballet, jazz, contemporary & acro elements into one fun filled dance class with their friends. Parents love the kind, supportive & body positive club environment which encourages strength, flexibility & fitness. Our choreography is age appropriate & we welcome members from 3 years to 70 and beyond!
What is Physie?
A physie class fuses dance styles of ballet, jazz & contemporary in the one lesson. Our innovative choreography is age appropriate for girls from 3 years to ladies.
Each age group learns a set of routines called a syllabus. The same syllabus is taught by all the physie clubs around Australia!
All routines are built upon as the year progresses & are performed in a competition environment with clubs locally as well as across Queensland & at a national level.
These performances are a highlight for all girls and ladies & are a great way to develop confidence, performance skills & teamwork.

Established in 2001, Mermaid Physie is a family friendly Gold Coast club. The club has 150+ members from 3-4 years right through to 60 and over & we welcome all girls & ladies from across the Gold Coast & Tweed to give physie a go!
We hold classes at Elanora High School on Mondays & Wednesdays & Mudgeeraba State School on Saturday mornings. Mermaid Physie is an affordable dance sport for all ages with classes from just $10.
Beginners are always welcome in all age groups & we encourage you to try a week of physie classes for free so we can show you what it’s all about!
